How to:
Homemade Dog Birthday Cake Recipe (Easy & Dog-Safe)🎂🐾

Chicken's Birthday Outfit Link🍓

This year was Chicken’s 5th birthday!  While I usually buy her a cake for the occasion (she’s had some very good ones over the years, thanks to talented hoomans like Im Pawfect Pet Bakery), I decided to try something different this time.

This simple little cake passed the test, Chicken had fun admiring the making stages and approved the finished treat immediately!
First sniff = success.

It’s an easy recipe made with dog-friendly ingredients and can be decorated however you like. Ideal for birthdays, gotcha days, or just celebrating your dog for being your dog. 🧡

🐶 A Quick Note Before You Start

This recipe uses dog-safe ingredients and is designed as an occasional treat, not a daily food. As with any homemade dog treat, please ensure all ingredients are suitable for your individual dog, especially if they have allergies, sensitivities, or dietary requirements. Always supervise your dog while eating and serve in moderation.

🧁 Ingredients

1 banana, mashed

1 egg

1/2 a grated carrot

2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)

210g of plain, almond, oat or coconut flour

250ml oat milk

A handful of blueberries (added into the mix)

✂️ Shaping the Cake

Once cooled, cut the cake into your desired shape.
We went for a heart 💖
You can keep it round or square, make mini shapes, or cut it into slices for sharing with dog friends.

If you choose to ice with peanut butter, make sure to check its 100% xylitol-free or use dog peanut butter! Plain mash potato works great, too!

🎨 Decorating (Have Fun With It!)

Decorate your dog’s cake however you like with dog safe treats, this is where you can really make it personal for your best friend!

For Chicken’s cake, I used: Broccoli, Blueberries, Banana, Sweet potato, Peamutt Butter, And not forgetting her most favourite treats to spell out the “5”!

You can keep it simple or go all out. Dogs truly do not judge presentation! And don't forget to serve in small amounts only, this is a special occasion treat, not a full slice. A few bites is more than enough to celebrate 🥰
