Dog-Friendly Pumpkin Picking in Gloucestershire: Our Visit to Over Farm's Pumpkin Festival 2026 ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿพ

We were kindly invited to visit Over Farm's Pumpkin Festival!

If you're looking for the best dog-friendly pumpkin patches in Gloucestershire, somewhere to enjoy a cosy autumn day out with your dog, or simply an excuse to get into the Halloween spirit, we've found the perfect place!

Autumn is without a doubt our favourite time of year. The colourful leaves, cosy jumpers, crisp mornings and, of course, pumpkin picking! And one of our absolute favourite autumn traditions is visiting ย Over Farm's Pumpkin Festival in Gloucester. ๐Ÿ‚

With an enormous pumpkin patch, quirky autumn displays, delicious food, hundreds of photo opportunities and, best of all, dogs welcome to join the fun, it's easily one of our favouriteย dog-friendly autumn days out in Gloucestershire.

A Pumpkin Patch in Gloucestershire That's So Much More Than Pumpkins! ๐ŸŽƒ

If you've ever visited Over Farm, you'll know they don't do things by halves!

Located just outside Gloucester, Over Farm's enormous 17-acre pumpkin patch is packed with pumpkins of every shape, size and colour imaginable. From tiny little pumpkins to enormous ones that would barely fit through your front door (seriously!!) there's something for everyone.

But what makes Over Farm's Pumpkin Festival so special is everything else there is to explore. You'll find brilliantly creative pumpkin displays, wonderful seasonal decorations, plenty of space to wander and endless opportunities to capture those perfect autumn photos.

Whether you're visiting for a family day out, a cosy October date or an adventure with your four-legged best friend, there's so much to enjoy. And if you're anything like me, you'll leave with approximately 400 photos of your dog sitting in almost exactly the same position. (Naturally, they're all essential).

Is Over Farm Pumpkin Patch Really Dog Friendly? YES! ๐Ÿถ

Now, this is the really important part.

Dogs are welcome at Over Farm's daytime Pumpkin Festival AND Pumpkins After Dark!

Finding dog-friendly things to do in Gloucestershire is something we're always excited about, and it's even better when our four-legged companions can join in with the seasonal fun. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to explore the pumpkin patch on leads, so there's no need to leave your best friend at home.

Over Farm even provides a treat the entrance!ย

The Perfect Place for Autumn Photos With Your Dog ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ‚

One of our favourite things about Over Farm is just how many beautiful photo opportunities there are.

With colourful pumpkins, hay bales, quirky displays and gorgeous autumn colours everywhere you look, it's an absolute dream for anyone who loves photographing their dog.

And honestly, is there anything cuter than a dog surrounded by pumpkins?

Chicken wore her Strawbearies Poochie Suit which couldn't have looked more adorable against all those gorgeous autumn colours.

Our colourful Poochie Suits are designed to keep dogs comfortable on their adventures, and autumn is the perfect excuse to bring out their cosiest outfits. Whether your dog is a professional poser or prefers to investigate absolutely everything, you're bound to come away with some lovely memories.

Top tip: bring plenty of treats for your dog, especially if you're hoping to capture that perfect pumpkin patch photo!

Delicious Food, Hot Drinks & All the Autumn Vibes โ˜•๐Ÿงก

Of course, no proper autumn day out is complete without something delicious to eat!

Over Farm's Pumpkin Festival has a fantastic food and drink area featuring independent traders selling a wonderful selection of treats. Think marshmallows you can roast yourself, savoury street food, warming coffees and all the delicious things that make October feel extra special.

There's even a large covered seating area where you can take a break, enjoy something tasty and soak up the atmosphere.ย You can spend time wandering through the pumpkins, enjoy a bite to eat and really make an occasion of it.

Making Autumn Memories With Chicken ๐Ÿงก

As much as we love the pumpkins, food and lovely displays, my favourite part of days like these is simply getting to experience them with Chicken.

Anyone who knows us knows that she's my entire world, and I absolutely adore finding new adventures we can share together. There's something so special about watching her explore somewhere new, seeing her little face taking everything in, being brave, smelling new sniffies and making memories that I'll treasure forever.

Autumn has always been my favourite season, and having Chicken by my side makes it all the more wonderful.

We're so grateful to Over Farm for inviting us along and creating such a lovely place for people to enjoy with their dogs. It's places like this that make us feel incredibly lucky to live in Gloucestershire!
